During the Harbin Asian Winter Games, 350 units Methanol-powered vehicle will provide safe and sustainable mobility to media, athletes, and other attendees. It is based on the Fourth Generation Emgrand that excels in value, technology, space, and design.
The Methanol-powered Emgrand carries world-first Methanol-Electricity hybrid engine and hybrid electric motor. The carbon consumption of the Methanol-powered vehicle is 42% lower than ICE vehicle from the same segment. For every 10,000-kilometer driven by the vehicle, about 0.8 ton of carbon can be reduced, which is equivalent to planting 40 square meters of forests for the earth, which is in line with the aim of “Green Asia Winter” of this year's Asian Winter Games.
