September 14th, 2015, Hangzhou China. Geely Auto sales continued to strengthen in August 2015 with Geely seeing sales increase by 17% over the same period in 2014 and increasing 9% on a month to month basis through July to August. Total sales during August reached 32,708 units.
Geely’s flagship sedan, the Geely GC9 saw sales increase 11% over July 2015 with sales reaching 3539 units and has achieved sales of over 12,500 units since the products launch in March 2015 making it the best-selling domestic B-Segment sedan.
The New Emgrand witnessed year on year sales growth of 11% in year on year comparison, the New Emgrand has continually performed well in the Chinese market due to its competitive powertrains and package options.
The New Vision had a fivefold increase in sales during August 2015 with total sales of 6,962 units. The addition of a 1.3 Turbo assisted engine and stylish design have proven to be the major attraction to the New Vision.
Export sales continue to be a challenge for Geely Auto due to political instability in key markets in the Middle East and Eastern Europe, Geely is continuing to expand into high potential markets over the course of 2015. Export sales in August 2015 were at 1,837 units.
Geely Auto has already completed 77% of its end of year sales goal of 450,000 units with 317,792 units being sold to date from January to August. Geely is still highly positive about the rest of the year and expects to complete its end of year sales goal.
